Refund & Cancellations

At Dear Hiring Manager (operated by Solution Head Limited) we provide career services delivered digitally and through one-to-one coaching. This policy explains how refunds, cancellations and revisions are handled across those services. It sits alongside, and forms part of, our Terms & Conditions, and does not affect your statutory rights.

1.Digital services

We offer bespoke digital services, including CV Optimisation and — as they launch — LinkedIn Optimisation, Job Search Strategy, Interview Preparation and cover letter support. Each is prepared specifically for you based on the information you provide.

Because these are personalised digital services produced specifically for you, we do not offer refunds once your completed work has been delivered, except where your statutory rights apply (see section 8). We are, however, fully committed to the quality of our work — see Revisions below.

2.Your 14-day cancellation right and what you agree to at checkout

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have the right to cancel a service bought online within 14 days.

If you cancel after requesting that we begin but before the completed work has been delivered, you may be charged a reasonable amount for the work already carried out, proportionate to what has been done. If you have not yet asked us to begin and the work has not started, you can cancel within 14 days for a full refund.

3.Revisions

We want you to be happy with your delivery. If you are not satisfied with a specific element, contact us within 5 business days of delivery at help@dearhiringmanager.careers with details of your concern, and we will review your feedback and make reasonable revisions where appropriate.

What counts as a reasonable revision: corrections to factual errors, adjustments to formatting, or refinements based on information you provided in your original submission.

What falls outside the revision policy: complete rewrites based on new information not included in your original submission, or a change of direction in your target role or industry after delivery. These can be arranged as new or additional work.

4.Coaching services

Payment for coaching sessions or packages must be made in full before the service begins.

You may cancel or reschedule a session up to 48 hours before the scheduled time for a full refund or credit. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance are non-refundable. Free discovery calls can be rescheduled or cancelled at any time at no charge.

5.Group programmes or classes

Where we offer group sessions, bookings are refundable up to 7 days before the start date. After that point no refunds are issued, but you may request to transfer your booking to a future session where one is available.

6.Refund process

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method within 10 working days. We do not charge any additional fee for processing refunds.

7.Exceptional circumstances

We understand that unexpected events can happen. If you experience exceptional circumstances, please contact us directly at help@dearhiringmanager.careers and we will review your request on a case-by-case basis.

8.Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy affects your legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. If a service we provide is not, you may be entitled to a repeat of the service or a price reduction. This policy’s “no refund once delivered” position applies to satisfaction with personalised work that was carried out properly — it does not remove your rights where our work was defective.
